Responsibilities:
Work close and support merchandising teammates, marketing and operations to ensure implement the merchandise, buying and pricing strategies for categories, in line with the agreed company vision and mission
Identify & source potential products locally and internationally to meet customer needs with achieving Company’s sales target and margin
Keep abreast with the latest market trends, ad hoc & seasonal forecast for boosting sales
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive prices and trading terms
Build rapport with business partners & create synergies in formulating sales activities
Support Sales and Operations team by coordinating promotional activities, visual merchandising arrangement and logistics for stock arrival
Analyze sales performance for related categories with actively reviewing pricing strategies
Perform ad hoc duties assigned
Requirements:
Higher diploma or above in related discipline
5 years or above solid experience in retail industry with minimum 3 years of managerial experience, preferably gained from Supermarket retail chain
Familiar with current market conditions and extensive business network
Strong market sense, sensitive to numbers and initiative on problem solving
Self-motivated, passionate, proactive & high flexibility
Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills
Good command in written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
Proficient in MS Office application including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Category Manager
